Shallow water grouper fishing is the most sought after trip for my company and others here in the Florida Nature Coast. These extremely hard fighting fish will test every mussel in your body they hit hard and fight all the way to the boat. Its very popular and a lot of fun we use extra heavy rods and reels with 50-60 pound braid line and 60-100 pound leaders. live bait is the most common way we use to target gag grouper but we also use diving plugs and swim baits.
