Hernando Beach Fishing Report...
Fishing is great along the Nature Coast of Florida, we are seeing the large schools of red fish showing up along the shallow flats from hudson to chassahowitzka. The reds are holding on the outer islands and mangrove shorelines on the outside edges, look for mullet schools and take your tine moving the boat slowly looking for red fish. August Fishing Report Hernando Beach FL
Dog days of summer is here and man it is HOT out side, red fish will start schooling up on the outer islands and mangrove shorelines. Mid incoming tide or a high outgoing is the best time to target red fish along with snook. Live pilchards rigged with a 1/0-2/0 circle hook and a 30 pound leader is all you need. July is here and it’s scalloping time. July 1st to September 24th limit is two gallons hole scallops per person not more the 10 gallons per boat. Make sure the divers down flag is flying when swimmers are in the water.
Finding scallops is easy just get on a grass flat in 4-8 feet of water, slack low tide is the easiest time for all ages when the tide is moving it can get hard for some people so looking at the tide chart before your trip can make your day a lot ...Read Full Post »

Fishing is epic right now along our flats and near shore areas. Red fish and snook are eating everything we put in front of them, live pilchards and pin fish are the bait of choice right now. Its Spring Time in Hernando County Florida. The weather is great and the fishing is even better, right now we have a wide verioty of game fish to target. Trout are holding in 3-5 feet of water on grass flats and rock piles live pilchards for bait or a white little jon rigged with a 1/8 ounce jig head is a great search bait.
